In my opinion one of the best experience you can have in the Dolomites, because of the beauty of the wall, the quality of the rock, the wiev from the top! Crozzon di Brenta north-east face is one of the biggest wall in Brenta Dolomites, 900 meters of vertical wall over the wild Brenta Valley. The guide route is a spectacular line opened in 1935 by Detassis and Giordani who runs straight up from the bottom to the summit following a dark line. The difficulties are not high (max grade V+) but the climb is long and challenging. From the top you have to do a long and exposed traverse (grade II-III) to Cima Tosa and descent on the normal route to rifugio Pedrotti.
Usually the trip starts early in the morning from rifugio Brentei (2 hours walking from Vallesinella, Madonna di Campiglio) and lasts all day, including 1 hour approach to the wall, 6-7 hours climbing and 3 hours desent to Pedrotti where is possible to sleep and walk down (3 hours) the day after.
