Great hike on the N side of Monte Generoso. Starting from Rovio on the old path "la Variante". It is a white-blue path (alpine route) according to Swiss standards.
You won't believe how interesting the mixture between this path and the history that goes with it can be.
The ascent takes about 4h, 1200 m. After a stop at the summit, you can enjoy a 360° panorama and the view of the entire European Alpine chain. We will hike through the beautiful forest back to Rovio.
