Unless the past few decades, most of the people used to believe that Greece offers only sea, sun and sand, in this 5-day program you will experience some of the best ski spots in Greece: Mount Olympus and Mount Pindus.
Every day, we explore unspoiled and isolated mountains, and skin up and ski down some of the best ski touring areas in Greece.
During the Safari, we will ski tour on Mount Olympus, Vasilitsa, Smolikas, and Grammos and I will choose for you the best and most aesthetic ski lines with the finest snow cover and quality.
In order to enjoy the tours, you will need to be able to perform on uphill 300-350 meters per hour and to descend on powder or hard or corn snow.
The ascents are from 1000 – 1500 m per day and a good fitness level are necessary.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Greece
Pick up the guests from Thessaloniki airport and settlement in a traditional guest house at the northwest side of Mt Olympus.
Dinner and briefing about the schedule.
Day 2: Ski Touring Mt Olympus - 2912m Skolio Peak
After we will approach the hidden north side of Mt Olympus, we will skin up towards the high peaks. Depending on the snow conditions, I will choose the finest ski touring line for you.
During the day, we will skin up and ski down almost 1500 m.
Skolio Peak is our goal and the view from the summit cone is majestic towards the Mediterranean Sea.
Late afternoon transfer back to the village – Dinner – Overnight.
Day 3: Ski Touring Mt Olympus
Today we will ski tour the northwest slopes of Mt Olympus.
The choices are endless, but today we aim for the open wide bowls and high altitude peaks.
Vertical ascent: 1000 – 1200 m
Late afternoon transfer towards Pindos Mountain Range. Settle down in a guest house – dinner – Briefing – overnight.
Day 4: Ski Touring Vasilitsa Mountain - Pindos
Mount Vasilitsa is well known as the mountain with enormous quantities and the fine quality of powder snow.
Today we will climb and ski a total of 1000 m, in ancient pine trees forest and north face open bowls.
Early afternoon transfer to the guest house – dinner – briefing – overnight.
Day 5: Ski Touring Mount Smolikas - Pindos
Mount Smolikas is a hidden gem of the Greek mountains and well known for its diversity with a great potential of skiing.
Today, we will perform over 1000 m of vertical ascent and descent.
Early afternoon transfer to the very north of the Greek Albanian border.
Day 6: Ski Touring Mount Grammos
Mount Grammos is the crown of the northern borderline of the Greek mountains. Gentle slopes at the most, magnificent scenery, isolation and absence of human presence... Grammos offers magnificent ski touring options with vertical drops of more than 1000 m.
Early afternoon transfer to the guest house – dinner – briefing – overnight.
Day 7: Breakfast and transfer to Thessaloniki airport.
