2,100 metres of altitude difference from the shore of the Königsee to the south summit!
In addition to a feeling for the right route, a walker on the Watzmann east face is especially expected to have the ability to correctly balance his strength. From grassy terrain to rocky rugged terrain to climbing in vertical rock, everything can be found.
Day 1:
Meeting point in the afternoon at the parking lot at Königsee. By boat to St. Bartholomä. Overnight stay in the Ostwandlager.
Day 2:
Early in the morning start towards the ice chapel and via the Berchdesgadener Weg (II- III) to the Watzmann (2712 m). Crossing to the Hocheck (2650 m). The descent takes place via Watzmannhaus back to Königsee or descent to Wimbachgrieß directly from the summit.
Hiking time approx. 11-13 hours
Requirements:
Very good physical condition for 400 meters of altitude/hour.
