Originally used for training in the Alps during World War 1 and 2, today via ferratas serve other, much more enjoyable purposes. And in recent years, they have become a very popular outdoor activity. And just outside of the beautiful city of Barcelona, there is an abundance of fantastic spots where you can enjoy this thrilling activity.
Due to the sheer variety of via ferrata spots near Barcelona, there is no set itinerary on this trip. Instead, based on your desires, experience and skill level, I will help you select the perfect spot.
Some examples of where we can go to include La Teresina. This is a moderate option, and is about 45 kilometres from Barcelona. In Montserrat Mountain. This option is known for its amazing views of the sea below. We can also go to the Ferrata de los Venas, which is one of the more difficult spots. There are several other options you can choose from as well, including Cagate Lorito, Roc d’Esquers, along with many more.
Because of the unique nature of via ferrata, there can be some challenges. At times, retreats can be tricky, and some very specific techniques are required. However, I will do everything in my power to properly guide you and help you along the way. Thus ensuring that you have a memorable, safe and comfortable experience.
