URBAN BIKE TOUR THROUGH HISTORY
Visiting Lucca by bike, more than urban trekking. It offers the opportunity to easily visit the most important monuments of the city, the most evocative squares and to enjoy views and panoramas difficult to appreciate in such a short time. Moreover, given the density of sites of interest, the idea is to propose a "typical" route that can touch the most interesting places but, given the ease of the tour, there are innumerable "detours" and variations to meet everyone's wishes. Far from the classic tourism hit and run, we cycle through alternative and hidden roads that only those who live it know. Departure from Piazza S. Maria towards Piazza S. Frediano with the homonymous church and its mosaic of the late thirteenth century on the facade, then Piazza dell'Anfiteatro which owes its name to the fact that it stands on the ruins of the Roman amphitheater and it maintains its shape unaltered. Few rides through the narrow streets behind Piazza dell'Anfiteatro and you can see one of the symbols of the city of Lucca, known all over the world that characterizes the city skyline for its particularity; we are talking about the Guinigi Tower with its trees that make it a unique monument. So we go on with the tour through alleys, squares, historical and cultural monuments ... in short, a city to visit and discover by bike.
CICLOESCURSIONE URBANA NELLA STORIA
Visitare Lucca in bicicletta, più di un trekking urbano, offre la possibilità di visitare agevolmente i più importanti monumenti della città, le piazze più suggestive e di godere scorci e panorami difficilmente apprezzabili in così poco tempo. Inoltre, vista la densità di siti di interesse l'idea è quella di proporre un percorso "tipo" che possa toccare i luoghi più interessanti ma, vista la facilità dell'escursione sono possibili innumerevoli "deviazioni" e variazioni per poter venire incontro ai desideri di tutti i partecipanti. Lontani dal classico turismo mordi e fuggi pedaliamo per vie alternative e nascoste che soltanto chi la vive conosce. Partenza da piazza S. Maria direzione Piazza S. Frediano con l'omonima chiesa e il suo mosaico della fine del XIII secolo posto sulla facciata, poi in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro che deve il suo nome al fatto che sorge sulle rovine dell'anfiteatro romano e ne mantiene inalterata la forma. Poche pedalate per le strette vie dietro Piazza dell'Anfiteatro e si scorge uno dei simboli della città di Lucca, conosciuto in tutto il mondo che caratterizza lo skyline della città per la sua particolarità; stiamo parlando della Torre Guinigi con la sua alberatura che lo fanno un monumento unico .Quindi andiamo avanti nel tour per vicoli, piazze monumenti storici e culturali ...insomma una città da visitare e scoprire a misura di bicicletta.
