The Forni Glacier, in upper Valfurva, is the largest Italian valley glacier. Despite the fact that in the last few years it has considerably shrunk, being in front of the glacier toe that descends from the famous thirteen peaks (beginning with Mount Cevedale and ending at Pizzo Tresero) always leaves the impression of being in the presence of a freezing giant. The best way to reach the glacial front is the Sentiero Glaciologico (Glaciological Path), a hiking trail that allows you to touch all the main natural attractions (and artificial ones, such as the Tibetan Bridges) of the area.
