Among the rapids of the Piave River

Exciting descent of the gorges of the Piave River in the stretch of the Cadore Valley, between rocky walls marked by tectonic formations in a river environment which has remained intact. The start from Perarolo di Cadore offers an unexpected natural spectacle, sculpted in the most ancient rocks that we observe in the most varied forms and shaped by Alpine orogenesis. In this fantastic context, in which the river flows through the geological history to the rhythm of the paddle, contrasting emotions of amazement and joy, peace and adrenaline, inspired by the character of the Piave. When the river opens up in its river bed of intertwined channels, the shimmering sun appears reflecting the colours of its pebbly bottom and then tensions are dispersed in the great glacial valley. We will have a stop to understand the origin and evolution of this great river. When the stream rises again, the valley narrows and so do all our thoughts converge into one big dilemma, what awaits us at the next bend? Shallows, counter-rock and a few waves electrify us until the final turn, having covered one of the most natural stretches of the river in its high course. Don't forget, we will observe the greto and magredo flowers on arrival at Longarone.
