Through Vallunga to the Puez alpine hut

We start from the paid car park at the beginning of the Vallunga. You’ll reach there from Selva di Val Gardena by following the signs for the valley. We enter the valley along path no. 14, which runs through the entire valley. While walking we admire these imposing vertical walls that delimit the valley. We continue on the same path always along the same apparently flat path until we reach the end of the valley (2:30 hours from the car park). Here we start to climb up along a narrow, landslide path, then we move to the left and start to climb in the direction of the Puez Alpine hut. Going up we admire the Vallunga from above in all its beauty, we reach the alpine hut in about one hour. We stop for lunch and then we leave along path no. 2 for a short stretch followed by a descent to the left along path no. 16 which takes us back to Vallunga. We walk along a stretch of the outward path and return to the car park (2 hours from the hut). Total 14 km and 850 m difference in altitude.
