A spectacular tour in the heart of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
By mountain bike or e-bike on the trails through the vineyards, rich in history and traditions.
The route develops within the area of the Colline del Barbaresco, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, as the first cultural landscape of Italian wine. After a visit to the historic centre of Alba, the capital of the Langhe and a Romanesque city rich in history and tradition, we will climb up the hill in the direction of Pertinace, the birthplace of the Roman emperor Publius Elvio Pertinace, and we will follow the geomorphological phenomenon of the Rocche dei Sette Fratelli, before arriving in Treiso.
On the asphalt and on beautiful dirt roads, among the vineyards and hazelnut groves, we will cycle towards Neive, Terra dei Quattro Vini and a village included among the most beautiful villages in Italy; we will visit the medieval centre and stop briefly for a light lunch based on typical products and a tasting of DOCG wines. We continue through the vineyards in the direction of Barbaresco, with its medieval tower 36 meters high (the largest medieval tower in Piedmont), in an extraordinary setting where man and nature have found harmony and synergy. From here we descend to reach the banks of the river Tanaro, where we can admire the canyons of the Rocche di Barbaresco and return to Alba along the paths of Beppe Fenoglio. Another tour through the streets of the center of Alba for a final aperitif and possibly the purchase of some typical products.
