We had 2 wonderful days in the beautiful area around Balboutet with Mauro. He knows the place very well and is able to show you all the nice routes, specially strada dell’ Assietta is amazing. We slept at Rifugio Lago della Rane. Great view, even better 5-course dinner and friendly people. Cherry on the cake were the home made pastries from Mauro’s wife Carla, made in the old bakery of Balboutet.
