Explore Tolfa Mountains on e-bike

Join me in this mountain bike tour of about 40 km/25 mi length and 750 m elevation gain, that is a journey into the history of our territory: we're gonna ride where the Tolfa mountains meet the Maremma flatlands, visiting the ruins of the Etruscan temple Grasceta dei Cavallari, we’re gonna see volcanic cliffs such as Ripa Maiale, originated in the Pliocene period together with the raise of Tolfa mountains and site of human settlement since the Palaeolithic age, the ruins of Roman Villas and then we’ll pass by the old Cencelle, founded by Pope Leone IV in 854 to secure Civitavecchia inhabitants from Saracen’s raids. Let's discover the almost unknown Farnesiana hamlet, created in the middle of XV century to host miners working in alum mines in Allumiere.
At the end of the tour an Italian aperitivo we'll be waiting for us, on the panoramic terrace of Tolfa town, with an amazing view on the middle age castle belonging to the Frangipane family.
