Ascent to Posets 3.375 m

Posets is the second highest mountain in the Pyrenees, after Aneto. Its single-standing position, between the Aneto and the Monte Perdido, makes it an excellent viewpoint of the central Pyrenees. Posets is, also, a very good mountain for beginners. Despite its height, the ´normal´ route is not so technical and there are not so many risky points. Nevertheless, the mountain offers some exciting moments, especially at the key-passages. There is a beautiful narrow (and, certainly, a little bit exposed!) 100 m long ridge just before the summit. We climb this mountain in two days. The first day we approach the mountain hut Ángel Orús 2.150 m high, where we will rest and pass the night. The second day is the summit day. We follow the normal route over the steep Canal Fonda (with its known snow patch) passing at the foot of the Diente de la Llardana. Finally, we head up towards the ridge. This route is perfect for fit hikers with little experience in mountaineering. The given price is for a group of 4. Ask prices for larger (or smaller) groups.
