Climb to a mountain-symbol of the Cuneo area.
The Normal route to Meja, also suitable for hikers with little experience / training, winds along the ledge that cuts across the SW wall, then turns sharply in the opposite direction, along a nice channel leading to the summit.
The itinerary is feasible both passing from the Valle Maira and from the Valle Stura . The difference in height from the car is about 600m and done in about 2 hours and 30 '.
The descent takes place on the same itinerary.
ROCCA LA MEJA, VIA NORMALE
Ascensione ad una montagna-simbolo del Cuneese.
La via Normale alla Meja , adatta anche ad escursionisti con poca esperienza/allenamento, si snoda lungo l'evidente cengia che taglia tutta la parete SW, per poi volgere bruscamente nella direzione opposta, lungo un bel canalino che conduce in vetta.
L'itinerario è fattibile sia passando dalla Valle Maira che dalla Valle Stura e il dislivello dall'auto è di circa 600m che si salgono in circa 2 ore e 30'.
La discesa avviene per lo stesso itinerario.
