ZARANI

Starting from Agios Ioannis (the little village),Sfakia we follow the old path that locals used in the past to get hight up to the mountains to remain for the hole summer period in due to stay with their sheep and make cheese.This hike adventure is about to earn almost 1200 meters of altitute to the spring of Zarani.The path is quite steep but the award for this difficulty is the goergus view all the time while hiking.Reaching Zarani you can dring fresh cold watter from the spring there and admire the view of the Lybian sea,the gorge of Elygia and the White Mountain ranges peaks.After returning back you can enjoy the traditional food at the local taverna.
