PAHNES peak 2453m.

We Start from Anopoli village,Sfakia,and we go to Roussies up to 1.900m with off road car.
Roussies is the start point for hiking to Pahnes peak2453m.We follow the path up reaching first Gavalas mount,following a trail surrounded of noumerous peaks of desert alpine zone in the hurt of the White Mountains.The colour of the mountains remainds the colours of the desert Sahara.Offen people say about the place"Desert of the mountains".After 2-21/2h hiking up there is Pahnes Summit with a wooden cross at the top.
There is also a book to write your name and fate in an iron box.The view at the peak is 360° that offeres a complete geo opption of all peaks of White Mountains ,iland of Creta ,Cretan and Lybian sea.
This is a life time experiance..
The way pack is on the same path to Roussies and then to Anopoli by car where you can have lunch at the local taverna if you wish and discover also the local Sfakian cuchina.
