Dear hiking enthusiasts,
this fantastic hike to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo starts at the lake Lago di Landro (1406 m) in the Valle di Landro, where we will meet at the parking place.
We walk through the Rienz Valley, climbing steadily along the Rienz river, which has its source at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, up to the alpine hut Rifugio A. Locatelli - Drei Zinnenhütte (2,405 m).
The area around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo was the scene of cruel battles fought among rock and ice during the First World War.
This tour to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is not so well known and therefore not so crowded, because it is more demanding, and more than 1000 m of altitude have to be overcome. Most of the guests take the bus to the Auronzo Hut, which is already at 2,333m, and from there they make their visit to the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
