Piz Bernina Biancograt and Piz Palü crossing

Who doesn't know them? The gleaming edge of a Biancograt. A very great tour in the Eastern Alps.
Every climber's dream is to climb this firn ridge. The tour takes you up the Piz Bernina (4049 m), the highest peak of the Eastern Alps, via a really aesthetic "sky ladder". The route of the Biancograt is extremely varied, with flat glacier surfaces, steep ice flanks, rugged rock towers and exposed firn passages. When the weather and conditions are good you can climb over the Bellavista to Piz Palü, which makes every mountaineer's heart beat faster. Three days of top-class mountaineering in the Alps.

1st day
From Pontresina you can take a horse-drawn carriage or walk to the beautiful Roseg valley. From here the ascent to the Tschierva hut (2573 m) takes about 2 hours

2nd day
We start early in the direction of Fuorcla Prievlusa 3430 m and climb over a light rocky ridge to the actual beginning of the Biancograt. Now we climb over the prominent firn ridge and an easy rocky section to reach the highest peak of the Eastern Alps. Piz Bernina 4049 m. After the summit rest, we descend over the Spalla ridge to the Marcoe Rosa hut at 3597 m.
Hiking time about 12 hours and climbing difficulty up to 3 UIAA.

3rd day
Finally, there is the Piz Palü crossing with a great panorama. We traverse the peaks of the Bellavista and climb over the west ridge to the main summit of Piz Palü 3905 m. Via the east summit and the Pers glacier, we reach the top station of the Diavolezza cable car that takes us down to the valley.
