The Marmolada is the highest peak in the Dolomites, the queen, 3343 meters high. is the only mountain in the Dolomites with a glacier. In this ascent it is possible to combine the high mountain and a short via ferrata. The summit is also accessible to people who are at their first experiences with crampons, with a minimum of physical training. Total time: 4 12 hours. From the Fedaia pass, after crossing the dam, we reach the car park with the FedaiaMarmolada gondola lift. Once in Pian dei Fiacconi, we climb up the glacial valley above doing some practice with crampons and we will tie up in a rope for maximum safety. Approaching the final rocks, after removing the crampons, we will begin to climb the easy equipped path until the end of the rocks and then reach Capanna Marmolada and the cross of Punta Penia. Climbing time: 2 12 hours, 700 metres of uphill difference in height. The descent develops along the uphill road to return to Pian dei Fiacconi and soon to Passo Fedaia. Time of descent: 2
