A very easy and simple route, but at the same time full of natural beauty. We will walk along a path in the heart of the Madonie Park at 1500 m above sea level that allows you to discover the natural soul of the Sicilian hinterland. Crossing thick wooded vegetation, ideal habitat for different animal species, we will arrive at a clearing where the Regional Department of State Forests has planted specimens of Abies Nebrodensis, an endangered species of fir present only on the Madonie. We continue the walk inside a beech wood, which in every season offers a different chromatic show, where we find an old mountain shelter made of stones and brooms built by the ancient shepherds.
