The Großvenediger with his 3.666 m is a very stunning glacier peak in the heart of the Nationalpark. His huge glacier mass makes him one of the most important peaks in the eastern Alps. Starting from the Defreggervalley you approach the Defreggerhut on a marked and easy Hiking trail surrounded by a lovely alpine landscape. We meet at the hut for dinner where we discuss the plan for the next day. After breakfast, we start approaching the glacier that's where we get our gear ready for the glacier. We follow the huge and stunning glacier all the way to the summit with his nice snow ridge. After a very breathtaking view, we start making our way back to the starting point.
