Official sports boat driving licence
Scope Internal Motor/Sail (German: Binnen, Motor/Segel)
Official licence to navigate sport boats under 20 metres on inland waterways and authorised waters. Generally required for boats with a net power greater than 11.03 kW (15 PS). The Sport Boat Driving Licence - Inland (Binnen) can be taken with sails, with propulsion engine or with propulsion engine and under sails.
For the theoretical examination (in German), basic questions, specifically related to inland waterway and sailing will be asked in one of 15 questionnaires in a multiple-choice procedure.
The practical examination consists of various manoeuvres, sailing the courses to the wind and nautical knots.
