Tour de Muveran, Vues de Mont Blanc 4 days 3 nights

4-day trek close to Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva, passing incredible glaciers and mountain lakes along the way. This walk is a hidden gem only known by locals. It has the views, the paths and the ambience. What it doesn't have is the crowds. We stay in small, intimate huts, with fantastic views and can see incredible wildlife; Marmots, Cows, Goats, Ibex, Lynx, Golden Eagles.
Once we leave the cars we won't see another tarmac road until we finish the loop!

We have 20 years plus each experience of running trips in the mountains and living in Switzerland. We are originally English but have lived here for many years. Our team are all UIMLA International Mountain Leaders or UIAGM Mountain Guides. This is an ideal trip to meet new people and have a new experience.

Day 1: Hike from Les Plan to Cabane Barroud
You will be picked up from Bex train station by 2:30pm, which you can reach with regular trains. From here you'll hike up the Nant valley, enjoying incredible views of Mont Blanc along the way.
In the evening you'll arrive at the remote Cabane Barroud (mountain hut) at 1,956m of altitude.

Day 2: Cabane Barroud to Cabane Rambert
After a traditional Swis breakfast, you'll start by trekking through the alpine meadows of Pas De Cheville. Here you'll see beautiful views of the Matterhorn and the Valaisian Alps.

Stopping along the way for a well-deserved rest, you'll have lunch besides the Lac Blanc (You may even get a chance to swim in the lake!). In the afternoon, you'll follow the river up to the pastures of Pro Flouri, and your accommodation in the remote Cabane Rambert and their herd of Bouquetin.

Day 3: Rambert to Col du Demecre
The day starts with a hike past the waterfalls of Passing Le Pessot, to Ovronnaz (known for fantastic local cafes!). After stopping for a break, you'll continue to trek past beautiful mountains including Tita Seri (2850m), Dent de Morcles (2,970m) and Chavalard (2 898m). In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the hut wardens speciality Spaghetti with the rest of the team.

Day 4: Demercre to Les Plan
Today is your final day of hiking, trekking back towards Lake Geneva. It's an early start as you make your way up to Perris Blancs Pass, boasting some of the most incredible views of the Pro Natura conservation region. After lunch, it's then a pleasant hike down the mountain to Pont de Nant and shuttle to Bex. From here you can take the train around Lake Geneva to the airport, or spend some time relaxing in the valley if you have a late flight home.
