Vie Ferrate crossing Catinaccio - Sciliar

In the week of Catinaccio via ferrata we follow some of the most interesting equipped routes in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park, a mountain group in the Dolomites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We can watch the beautiful sunsets of Rosengarten (Catinaccio) where the rock faces light up for an incomparable spectacle. Every day we will conquer a peak along a different route, we will enjoy the well-deserved rest and typical dishes of Trentino cuisine in the alpine huts of these beautiful mountains.

Programme (Monday - Friday):

Day 1:
Meeting at 8:30 am at the Cianpedie lift, along the "Feide" path up to the Pederiva Hut where it is possible to have lunch, short via ferrata to the Roda di Vael 2806 m and from Passo del Vajolon we will reach Rif. Fronza where we will stay overnight.

Day 2:
Climb up the Santner via ferrata to the Santner Pass, where we can admire the famous Torri del Vajolet. Overnight stay at the alpine hut Re Alberto or Vajolet 2243 m.

Day 3:
Ascent through the Vajolet valley to Passo Principe and ferrata del Catinaccio d'Antermoia 3002 m on a traverse with an overnight stay at the Antermoia refuge at 2600 m.

Day 4:
From the beautiful Lake Artermoia you can reach the equipped trail Laurenzi to the top of the M. Molignon di Fuori 2780 m and descend to the Alpe di Tires alpine hut for the night.

Day 5:
From the alpine hut Alpe di Tires to the summit of Terrarossa 2655 m along the via ferrata Maximilian and descent via Val Ciamin back to Val di Fassa by taxi from Tires.

The journey time per day is about 4 - 5 hours and the difference in height does not exceed 900 m uphill.
