Rocca Provenzale 2402m - Valle Maira

From the bottom of the valley it looks like a very bold rocky horn, whose climb seems really difficult. In reality, the normal route along the southern ridge is much simpler than those at the other ridge points (Punta Figari, Torre Castello and Rocca Castello).
The route is not in itself difficult, in fact it is evaluated F +, but there are some important aspects to keep in mind: the exposure of the route, the type of rock that becomes very treacherous if wet, the trickiness in finding the right route especially during the descent. So it is better to be accompanied by a Mountain Guide.

Technical data:
- Difficulty: F +
- Prevailing exposure: South
- Starting height (m): 1650
